Job summary

Colson Group Holdings LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Palmetto distribution center in Georgia. You will inspect inbound materials and production samples, perform First Article Inspections, and verify dimensions against engineering drawings to ensure compliance with Colson Group standards.

You will drive quality improvements using APQP/PPAP frameworks, participate in 5 Why and 8D root-cause actions, and train teammates on inspection best practices.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a quality operations role.
• Background in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; quality certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the inspection of inbound materials and production samples to ensure they meet Colson Group standards.
• Perform First Article Inspections and verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and other gauges.
• Compare results to drawings/specifications; capture and organize inspection and certification data.
• Drive systemic improvement: document findings that inform corrective actions, cost-of-quality reduction, and customer satisfaction gains.
• Contribute to and support the implementation of quality procedures across DC operations.
• Lead or participate in root-cause activities using 5 Why and 8D; work within APQP/PPAP frameworks.
• Train new team members on quality policies and everyday inspection best practices.
• Maintain records, build required reports, and adhere to all company policies and regulations; take on related projects as assigned.
