Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer to aid in implementing and maintaining quality systems including APQP, PPAP, and customer-focused processes. You will develop control plans, monitor production, and drive Lean improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires 4 years of college in a related field and 2–3 years in quality, preferably automotive, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business, quality, engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of quality-related experience, preferably in automotive.
• Ability to solve complex problems and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement process control plans with capability studies and Gage R&R.
• Provide quality documents and visual aids to the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor processes for conformance to control plans and customer requirements.
• Participate in APQP and PPAP packages.
• Lead and support Lean continuous improvement initiatives.
