American Foods Group is seeking a QA Sorter Lead to oversee carcass and carcass part sorting activities and identify abnormal conditions or defects before online inspectors. This role focuses on supervising QA sorters and assisting with qualifications and ongoing training.

The position requires leadership in the QA sorter department, adherence to safety and processing specifications, and collaboration with production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality.
• Be able to complete required training: Beef Modernization, Straight knife, steel, hook.

Responsibilities

• Perform the QA sorter job.
• Oversee and assist the QA Sorter department.
• Responsible for day-to-day control of QA Sorter activities per schedules and specs.
• Train employees in QA sorter areas.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping and proper operation of equipment.
• Evaluate department work performance and take corrective action.
