Job summary

Bon Appetit is hiring a Director of Quality Assurance & Safety in Mountain View, CA. This senior leadership role reports to the North America SVP Operations and leads QA and Safety across the Bay Area.

You will define regional safety and quality standards, develop a unified team of HSE Managers, and drive governance, training, and continuous improvement across diverse culinary and hospitality operations to support a zero-incident culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Safety Management, Environmental Health, Food Science, or related field.
• 8–10 years in operational safety/QA leadership across multi-site hospitality operations.
• Minimum 5 years supervising senior managers or regional teams.
• CP-FS/ASA/CMQ certifications and ServSafe Instructor/Proctor preferred.
• Experience with HACCP, HARPC, ISO 22000; internal audits across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: define regional safety and QA roadmap aligned with client goals.
• Team Leadership: mentor HSE Managers and Associate Managers and allocate regional resources.
• Governance: standardize QA/SOPs across Bay Area sites and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Audit & Incident Management: lead responses to audits and drive corrective actions.
• Training & Culture: oversee safety training programs and promote a zero-incident culture.
