Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Safety & QA Special Project Manager in New Jersey to uphold QA standards and food protection across operations. The role requires expert QA knowledge, audit coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and safe processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• At least 5 years of warehousing, distribution, QA, and safety experience.
• Experience managing, training, and directing large work groups.
• Experience with planning and analytical reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• English reading/writing at work-level for safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as a content expert for quality assurance and customer QA requirements.
• Maintain procedures and training manuals to ensure QA compliance.
• Perform internal mock audits and lead QA audits.
• Coordinate federal, state and local inspections and document site visits.
• Conduct internal QA record/log inspections and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure operations meet government regulations (DOT, OSHA, local/state).
• Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm with possible nights/weekends.
