Job summary

Interstates is seeking an experienced QA/QC Project Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control efforts on a large-scale data center project. The role travels to job sites and collaborates with project leadership, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure electrical installations meet contract requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities include developing quality plans, conducting inspections, managing punch lists, and coordinating with clients and AHJs.

Qualifications

• Lead QA/QC, quality management, field engineering on commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, NEC, quality standards, testing and turnover.
• Experience with mission-critical/data centre construction preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specs, submittals, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-wide QA/QC efforts for electrical construction on a data centre.
• Develop and maintain project quality plans and inspection processes.
• Coordinate with PMs, Superintendents, Engineers, and field teams to meet specs and codes.
• Conduct quality inspections, audits, and field walks throughout construction.
• Track deficiencies and manage punch lists with timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections with clients, commissioning teams, engineers, and AHJs.
• Review docs to identify quality risks before installation.
• Support pre-installation planning and constructability reviews.
• Verify docs for testing and turnover are complete and accurate.
• Monitor installation quality through all project phases.
• Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement and share best practices.
