Job summary

Upgrade Resources is seeking a QA/QC Coordinator for the DFW area, on-site in TX. The role governs quality processes across commercial mechanical projects, develops QA plans, audits field execution, and manages turnover readiness with cross-functional teams.

You will coach QA/QC staff, prepare dashboards, and partner with Project Managers, BIM, inspectors, and owners to ensure compliance and timely delivery. AWS-CWI preferred; 5+ years in relevant roles; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is a top priority for this search.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available.
• 5+ years in commercial mechanical/plumbing construction, QA/QC, or related roles.
• 3+ years with QA/QC systems, audits, and documentation governance.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, controls, and turnover processes.
• Proven ability to lead quality meetings and training without direct install authority.
• Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project QA/QC plans, inspection/test plans, checklists, and turnover requirements.
• Review contract drawings, specs, submittals, and codes to set acceptance criteria.
• Schedule inspections, testing, and milestone walks with all parties.
• Govern QA/QC documentation across projects and maintain deficiency logs.
• Prepare dashboards and metrics; lead root-cause and continuous-improvement actions.
• Train project teams on QA/QC protocols and maintain templates and training materials.
• Coordinate with project managers, field staff, BIM, vendors, and inspectors.
• Verify turnover documentation is complete and accurate before closeout.
