Job summary

MICA Steelworks is seeking a Quality Control Clerk to assist in achieving the highest level of product quality within our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with the QA/QC team and fabrication crews to establish standards and pursue quality improvements.

Responsibilities include maintaining precise records, ensuring orders are complete and signed, and supporting timely inspections. A background check, drug screen, and physical/vision tests are required.

Job Summary

This Clerk position is tasked with assisting in ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team and fabrication crews to establish quality standards and procedures and identify quality improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• QC Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and precise products; ensures timelines and appropriate sense of urgency in all aspects of quality control functions; and ensures that productivity and turnaround goals are met.
• QC Clerk updates training records under supervision of quality control inspector and is involved in business activities and gains valuable industry experience while working with top experienced professionals.
• QC Clerk ensures customer orders and forms are completed accurately, detailed, stamped and have appropriate signatures prior to final review by quality control inspector.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Office and occasional manufacturing floor/shop.
• Occasional travel by automobile may be required.
• During work, the incumbent will be subject to seasonal weather conditions.
• Exposure to shop hazards.
