Job summary

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspection activities required to maintain productivity, delivery and quality levels.
• Be familiar with and capable of using sampling plans for product and process inspection.
• Demonstrate technical competence with measuring and test equipment.
• Measure correctly and accurately product and tooling used in the manufacturing process, including patterns, fixtures, etc.
• Maintain material traceability and supporting documentation where required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Ability to understand the principles, practices and processes of QA and QC is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection tools and equipment.
• Use of computer to retrieve and input data.
• Able to react to change favorably and perform other job functions as required.
• Able to speak, understand and follow English language instructions.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in written ideas and policies.

Working Conditions

General shop environment. Some exposure to dust, noise and moving equipment in the manufacturing area.

Normal work hours 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Weekend work required occasionally.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit; stand, walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Regularly and frequently engages hands, wrists and fingers in repetitive motions for considerable durations of time. May occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 70 lbs.
