National Strand Products, L.P. is seeking a QC Technician to join our manufacturing team in Texas.
You will perform laboratory testing, tensile testing, calibration and data entry, and support quality initiatives to ensure products meet customer specs. Responsibilities include operating precision measuring equipment, maintaining lab records, and providing technical support to production and QA teams, with emphasis on safety and compliance with quality systems.
Minimum 2+ years of laboratory testing, quality control, or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in performing tensile testing, mechanical testing, and calibration activities preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering Technology, Materials Science, or related technical field preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other support software. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, calibration practices, and quality documentation. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
This is a full-time position. Rotating shifts, overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This position might require occasional travel.
The position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, iPads, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.
