Job summary

KALCON is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to serve as the Owner's Representative on one or more data center construction projects in Houston, TX. You will lead quality assurance programs, oversee inspections, coordinate with contractors, and drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5-10+ years in construction with a strong quality management background, experience with commissioning and MEP coordination, and the ability to travel up to 50% to support

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of construction experience.
• 5+ years of quality-related management (planning, training, implementation, and continuous improvement).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance programs across one or more construction projects.
• Train and manage project-specific quality personnel.
• Provide quality training to internal teams, trade partners, and vendors.
• Monitor and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communicate project updates to the Development Quality Team bi-weekly.
• Lead or participate in project quality meetings.
• Monitor inspection and testing requirements and results.
• Conduct weekly jobsite walks with the General Contractor.
• Review Quality Observation Reports and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Communicate and track KPIs.
• Lead/root cause analyses for nonconformance issues.
• Collaborate with MEP teams during commissioning to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in vendor/supplier factory tests, inspections, and audits.
• Serve as liaison with key stakeholders in OAC meetings.
• Manage the Punch List Process with onsite team and conduct status meetings.
