Job summary

DNV GL is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist to provide oversight and technical input into QC activities for fixed and rotating equipment and instrumentation in shop and field settings. The role includes audits of suppliers/contractors under the North American Supplier Qualification program and audits of QC functions within and outside of the refinery.

Location: Indiana/Greater Chicago area; duration: 3 years with potential extension; position contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

Experience in QA/QC for fixed equipment, rotating equipment, and instrumentation in shop and field settings.
Auditing suppliers/contractors under North American Supplier Qualification program.
Understanding and applying relevant codes and standards to QA/QC work.

Responsibilities

Oversee and input into quality control activities for fixed and rotating equipment and instrumentation.
Audit QC functions and supplier/contractor processes for compliance with client quality standards.
Provide technical direction and approvals for QA/QC work packages, projects, and turnarounds.
Ensure quality control paperwork is completed accurately by crews and supervision.
Lead supplier/contractor audits per the North American Supplier Qualification program.
Coordinate QC specialists and contractors on large projects or turnarounds.
Participate in incident investigations and recommend process changes.
