Job summary

Our client, a long‑standing Southern California general contractor, seeks a QA/QC Manager in Downtown Los Angeles to own the quality program across a portfolio of public and institutional projects. This field‑facing role collaborates with PMs, subs, inspectors, and agencies to drive quality from submittals to turnover.

The role requires 8+ years in construction with 3+ in QA/QC leadership; CBC knowledge and Procore proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial/public construction experience with a general contractor.
• 3+ years in QA/QC or quality leadership role.
• Ground-up experience on projects $25M+ (public works/education/institutional).
• Strong knowledge of CBC and ability to enforce contract specs.
• Experience with Design-Build and Best Value delivery a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management plans aligned to contract docs and codes.
• Lead inspections and pre-installation meetings with subcontractors.
• Coordinate inspections with IOR/DSA and other inspectors; track to closure.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and certifications for conformance.
• Perform regular field inspections and verify work against drawings and specs.
• Identify and close NCRs with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Own QA/QC documentation in Procore and manage closeout records.
• Lead punch list, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Lead QA/QC kickoff sessions and train project teams on quality expectations.
• Audit quality performance and report trends to leadership.
