Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company is seeking a traveling QA/QC CWI for a Cameron, LA assignment. This full-time position covers quality inspections across welding, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and related systems, requiring readiness to travel and work on-site at LNG project sites.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in heavy industrial projects, current CWI, and experience with WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation, as well as strong English communication and the ability to coordinate with

Qualifications

• Four years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc.
• Current CWI required.
• Experience in understanding WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs.
• Ability to interact effectively with project team members, clients, subcontractors and craft employees.
• Must be capable of obtaining or possessing inspection licenses/certifications as required.
• Read, write and communicate in English to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections for welding and welder certifications, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and boilers, piping, mechanical equipment, painting and coatings, structural steel and fabricated materials.
• Attend and schedule inspection and testing activities as required by contract.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure test equipment has current calibration.
• Ensure turnover documentation is maintained and scanned into the database.
• Maintain project quality records and assist with quality audit plans.

The QA/QC Inspector role providesqualityinspectionsregardingweldingandwelder'scertifications,pressurevessels,heat exchangers and boilers, piping, mechanical equipment, painting and coatings, structural steel and fabricated materials.

• Experience or working of the following codes; ASME B&PV, ASME B31.1 and B31.3, NBIC,API, AWS, ACI, AISC, RCSC and others as determined by job requirements. Ability to read and interpret various codes, standards and specifications.
• Familiarity, experience, or previous training and certification in Liquid Penetrant testing, Magnetic Particle testing, Ultrasonic testing, and radiography. Inspector has responsibility for the performance and scheduling of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract. Willingness to attend training and acquire additional training and certifications as required.
• Assesssub-contractors'capabilitiestomeetthequalityrequirementsoftheprojectasrequired.
• Assurethatthecontractobligations'fortestingandrecordkeepingareadheredto.
• Controlcalibratedmeasuringandtestequipmentusedontheproject.
• Keepcalibrationrecordsandensurethatalltestingequipmenthascurrentcalibrationrecords.
• Ensureproperturnoverofcompletequalitycontrolpackage(s).Responsibleforensuringthatturnoverdocumentationismaintained,organizedandturnedoveronschedule and scanned into the database.
• Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance and management thereof.
• Performevaluationsofsub-contractors'facilitiestodeterminetheircapabilitiesinmeetingthequalityrequirements.
• ConductperiodicQualityProgram training and coaching forsitesupervisorypersonnel.
• All other duties as normally required by our QA/QC Department, and as required by day-to-day business

Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc. Pulp and Paper preferred.
• Current CWI required.
• Experience in understanding WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs
• Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors and craft employees.
• Mustbecapableofobtainingorpossessinspectionlicensesand/orcertificationsasrequired.
• Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions as required by client and/or facility policy
• Must be able to communicate and document via company web mail programs
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Physical/Site Requirements:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent withage.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outsideconditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, andscaffolds.
