Job summary

OBR is seeking a Quality Assurance Quality Control Specialist in Phoenix, AZ to develop, implement, and maintain quality systems for manufacturing and field installation projects. You will ensure compliance with specifications and reliability standards, review drawings, and support inspections of electrical installations.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years QA/QC experience in construction or manufacturing, a technical degree preferred, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Project.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years QA/QC experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor or similar environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
• Familiarity with electrical installation practices and inspection tools.
• Preferred certifications: CMQ/OE, CQA, CQE, CRE or CSSBB.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure compliance with specifications and reliability standards for services, including ITPs.
• Evaluate and qualify vendors to align manufacturing and quality processes with standards.
• Identify quality standards and parameters for in‑house manufacturing and field installation projects.
• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, and standards.
• Assist with inspections and quality verification activities for electrical installations.
• Verify installation activities comply with project specs, drawings, codes, and quality requirements.
• Use industry tools and meters (tape measures, torque wrenches, testing meters) for inspections.
• Communicate quality standards to the OBR team.
• Coordinate and oversee equipment testing processes.
• Develop project-specific quality documents, including ITPs.
• Conduct shop and site audits as needed.
• Create non-conformance reports and implement corrective actions.
• Identify recurring issues and drive preventive actions.
• Review client feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with laws and policies.
• Prepare quality materials for annual meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
