Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a QA Associate to perform shift safety checks on cranes and tools, assist in training QA technicians, and coordinate with operations, materials, and engineering teams. The role includes reviewing inspection criteria, maintaining JIDs, and generating customer documentation.

The candidate will perform nondestructive tests as needed, assist with external inspections, and help calibrate measuring equipment while supporting continuous quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and welding fabrication drawings.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document inspections clearly.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a like environment or 1 year post high school education in a related field.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and follow safety rules.

Responsabilités

• Perform safety checks at shift start and during shift as required.
• Assist in training QA Technicians.
• Interface with Operations, Materials, Marketing and QA personnel to communicate quality status.
• Review inspection criteria with engineering and ensure proper communication.
• Setup and maintain Joint Index Databases (JIDs).
• Generate documentation packages per customer requirements.
• Assist QA Manager with customer visits and external inspections.
• Perform nondestructive testing (visual, magnetic particle, dye penetrant) as needed.
• Schedule outside NDE activities.
• Assist in calibration of measuring and test equipment.
• Investigate root causes of deficiencies and propose corrective actions.
