Blum USA is seeking a QA Product & Process Technician for the 2nd shift to support quality assurance and manufacturing operations. You will inspect and test products, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating across departments.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, hands-on quality work, and documentation within a manufacturing environment. Strong reading of blueprints and experience with precision tools are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of QA or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test products at various stages of manufacturing.
• Analyze product, process, and component failure to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement with production.
• Analyze statistical data and generate quality reports (CpK, LTA, BDk).
• Process internal, supplier, and customer quality concerns with investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage non-conforming materials through established quality processes.
• Coordinate trials for new products and process improvements.
• Recommend changes to specifications, drawings, testing methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Initiate and support Change Request Processes related to quality and tooling.
• Conduct work center audits and employee qualification assessments.
• Train supervisors and production associates on quality systems and standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Materials, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Maintain documentation and complete administrative quality-system activities.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing production processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Inspect and test products throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Perform product, process, and component failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support production by troubleshooting quality-related issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze statistical data and generate quality performance reports, including Cpk, LTA, and BDK reports.
• Process internal, supplier, and customer quality concerns, including investigation, corrective action, and follow-up.
• Manage non-conforming materials through established quality processes.
• Coordinate production trials for new products, components, and manufacturing process improvements.
• Recommend improvements to manufacturing specifications, product drawings, testing methods, and acceptance standards.
• Initiate and support Change Request Processes (CRP) related to product quality, tooling, gauges, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
• Conduct work center audits and employee qualification assessments.
• Train supervisors, team leaders, and production associates on quality systems and product quality standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Materials, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative activities associated with quality systems.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Completion of a Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship program with an emphasis in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with SAP and quality management software systems.

Schedule: This is a 2nd Shift position working Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
