Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 6 months Wayne Farms employee.
• Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and computer skills.
• Detail oriented and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Honest, hardworking with a safety-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, communicate with Production & QA teams to assure proper handling and timely correction of deficiencies.
• Monitor lines and paperwork to ensure product specification compliance.
• Verify and enforce GMPs and labels, lot codes, bags, boxes, and pallets.
• Approve incoming raw materials and inform supervisors if not meeting specs.
• Assist production with day-to-day quality issues to reach workable solutions.
• Ensure microbiological swabs and sampling occur at correct times and places.
• Follow all food safety policies and company procedures.
• Adhere to NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and all laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
