Job summary

Wayne Farms seeks a QA/Production quality technician to support verification of processes, labeling, and sanitation. You will work with production, QA teams to ensure product safety and compliance in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires accurate documentation, basic math, and effective English communication. Evening and weekend shifts may be required as part of scheduled operations. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 6 months Wayne Farms employee.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.
• Detail oriented with clear English communication.
• Able to follow GMPs and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, communicate with Production & QA to ensure proper handling and timely corrections.
• Monitor lines and paperwork to assure product specification compliance.
• Verify and enforce GMPs, labels, lot codes, and packaging integrity.
• Verify incoming raw materials and inform QA if not meeting specifications.
• Assist with day-to-day quality issues to reach workable solutions.
• Ensure microbiological swabs and samplings are performed correctly.
• Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures.
