Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control programs and ensure customer expectations are consistently met. Reports to Operations Manager with dotted line to Corporate Director of Quality Management.

The role emphasizes ISO 9001 compliance, PPAP submissions, and leadership of quality professionals to maintain inspection standards and continuous improvement in a metal fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in quality management, preferably metal fabrication
• 4-year college degree or equivalent, engineering focus
• Experience leading a quality team and audits (ISO 9001)
• Strong understanding of GD&T and metrology equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and perform root-cause analysis
• Experience with PPAP and ISO audits
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain quality control procedures and programs
• Lead a team of quality professionals to meet customer specs
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and assist audits
• Oversee material inspection and acceptance procedures
• Manage corrective actions to reduce nonconformances
• Coordinate PPAP submissions to customers
• Develop training programs on QC procedures
• Monitor gage calibration and inspection technologies
• Integrate new inspection technologies
