Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure quality of incoming materials, in-process and finished products. You will inspect using calipers, micrometers, and Keyence CMM, interpret blueprints, and generate inspection reports.

Role requires a detail-oriented, self-starting professional with PPAP documentation experience and the ability to work with limited supervision. Health benefits and retirement plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe
• Ability to perform PPAP documentation and create documents
• Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong ability to read blueprint drawings with a working knowledge
• Working knowledge of weld symbols and weld acceptance criteria
• Ability to work with Limited Supervision and report issues with inspection equipment, programs, & software
• Must be detail oriented with a focus on precision and quality

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, understand specifications, and interpret 3-dimensional part features from 2-dimensional drawings
• Inspect materials, in-process, and finished products: Visual and measurement testing using basic inspection equipment
• Document inspection results by generating reports as required
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
• Continually improve job knowledge by educational opportunities and learning new skills
• Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing required tasks as needed
