Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and maintain quality control procedures and programs. This role includes leading a team of quality professionals to ensure that parts meet customer specifications and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities include developing inspection procedures, managing corrective action systems, and overseeing material inspections.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably within the metal fabrication industry.
• Experience in hiring, developing, and managing a team of quality professionals.
• Strong computer and technical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify that inspection procedures used by all personnel are accurate and compliant with established quality control standards.
• Lead and manage a team of quality professionals to ensure that parts meet all customer specifications.
• Maintain and update quality control standards and procedures, ensuring that all relevant personnel are informed and compliant.
• Support the management team in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and assist during ISO and customer audits.
• Oversee the inspection of incoming and outgoing materials to confirm that specifications are met.
• Evaluate rejected material and manage the corrective action system to reduce nonconformances and waste.
• Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions to customers and ensure all requirements are satisfied.
• Develop and implement programs to educate, train, and update all personnel on quality control procedures.
• Manage the gage calibration system, ensuring that all gages are properly calibrated and maintained.
• Integrate new inspection technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the inspection process.
