Job description

Our client is a leading beef processor and manufacturer, supplying premium products to major retailers, foodservice, and export markets. With a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and food safety, they are now seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all QA and food safety systems at their beef production facility.

The Role: As Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site's food safety, quality, and compliance programs. You will lead the QA team, ensure adherence to USDA, HACCP, and regulatory requirements, and partner with production teams to maintain the highest standards of beef processing and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop the QA and food safety team.
• Manage HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and food safety/quality systems across the plant.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS, customer, and third-party audit requirements.
• Oversee inspection readiness and lead audits, certifications, and customer visits.
• Investigate and resolve quality or food safety issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and analyze production and quality KPIs, driving improvements in yield, consistency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with production, operations, and technical teams to deliver safe, high-quality beef products.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping to regulatory and customer standards.

What We\'re Looking For

• Proven experience as a QA Manager, QA Supervisor, or Food Safety Manager in meat or food manufacturing (beef experience highly desirable).
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety compliance programs.
• Experience leading audits and managing customer/retailer standards.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in food science, animal science, or a related discipline (preferred).
