Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. in Canaan, Connecticut is seeking a QA Lab Technician to support quality assurance in a dynamic plant environment. You will perform internal audits, verify corrective actions, and coordinate supplier actions while handling documentation and data entry with precision.

The role requires standing/walking, ability to operate scales, and calibration of testing equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, with safety training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required – some college and/or degree a plus.
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills, and pay extreme attention to detail.
• Must be able to complete all testing, inspections, documentation, and data entry in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal auditing (formal and random).
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions from nonconformances.
• Coordinate supplier corrective actions and document QA data from plant trials.
• Maintain EtQ documents and databases and assist as backup lab technician and scale operator.
