Job summary

Protein Solutions is seeking a QA Lab Technician to maintain daily quality standards and perform analytical tests on finished products. This role requires operating and maintaining lab equipment, recording data, and ensuring compliance with SQF procedures and GMPs in a 24/7 plant environment.

The position involves shift work including nights and weekends, with potential overtime and shift premiums; a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Analyze samples from the process and record data for quality purposes.
• Perform Saf-Test Analysis (FFA, PV Fat), Moisture, Ash, Fat, and Protein.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and keep it clean.
• Oversee lab during shift and notify production of quality issues.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, and safety policies.
• Pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples from the process, and record data for quality purposes.
• Perform all required analysis which includes Saf-Test Analysis (FFA, PV % Fat), Moisture, Ash, Fat, and Protein, hourly and composite sample.
• Perform proper documentation on all finished products (production sheets).
• Operate and maintain lab equipment.
• Oversee lab during shift.
• Notify production of any quality problems as they arise during production.
• Keep lab area clean and orderly.
• Manage and maintain a sample library system.
• Perform lab R&D functions as needed.
• Perform any duties as given by the QA Manager or Sanitation/QA Coordinator or shift supervisors.
• Follow all GMPs and plant SOPs and safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned
