Job summary

Mars Petcare is hiring a Quality Assurance Lab Tech for our Aurora, Nebraska facility. This role supports quality testing of inbound materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with Mars specifications and safety standards.

The position requires performing QA activities, lab testing, collecting samples, and communicating results to production teams. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing or lab environments and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or laboratory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Assurance activities as detailed in the Quality Systems manual.
• Carry out lab tests and finished product testing.
• Communicate results of QA tests to production; notify supervisors of issues and support corrective actions.
• Collect ingredients and finished product samples as required.
• Assist in special tests or inspections requested by QA leadership.
• Use analytical data to help Operations identify causes of issues.
• Troubleshoot processes to resolve quality problems.
• Maintain lab housekeeping and equipment; ensure food safety and quality.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience (manufacturing environment and/or laboratory experience preferred)
