Job summary

Ultipro in Kentucky is seeking a QA/Lab Technician to support the quality department and production projects as assigned by supervision.

The role requires attention to detail, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties include material inspection, lot traceability, testing, and adherence to GMPs. Training will cover HACCP and lab operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have good math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and audit compliance with specifications, purchase orders, vendor COAs, federal and state regulations, kosher certification, GMPs, etc., and maintain raw material files.
  • Issue paperwork for production lines; manage paperwork flow, and document lot traceability.
  • Perform line technician duties including product testing, paste testing, seam teardowns, purchased product testing, reclamation work.
  • Communicate, decide, and take corrective action for out-of-spec situations.
  • Work on projects as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

This position is required to successfully cover any position as required and assigned within the quality department and work projects for the supervisors. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Specific assignments as assigned that may include Incoming raw material inspection – audit materials for compliance with our specifications, purchase orders, vendor COAs, federal and state regulations, kosher certification, good manufacturing practices, etc. and maintenance of the raw material files
  • Issue paperwork for production lines; manage paperwork flow, and document lot traceability
  • Any or all line technician duties including Product testing, paste testing, seam teardowns (by hand and with seam scope), purchased product testing, reclamation work
  • Communication, decision making, and corrective action for out of specification situations is required
  • Work on projects as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
  • Should have working knowledge of QA/Lab operations or be trainable
  • Should be able to demonstrate ability to be observant, detail-oriented, and team player
  • Must have good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have good math skills

  • Carry bags of trash from lab to dumpster, less than 10 pounds
  • Lift box of paper towels to a cart, 30 pounds
