Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a Laboratory Technician Lead for a split shift in Decatur, IL. The role provides day-to-day QA leadership, ensures testing, documentation, inspections, and quality requirements are met across the shift, and supports production with timely quality decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of supervisory experience, a background in lab/QA for food packaging, and PCQI certification is preferred. Must lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred in food science, chemistry, biology.
• Three to five years of supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Experience with lab and/or quality assurance in food packaging required.
• PCQI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to QA technicians on assigned shift.
• Perform all duties of a Laboratory Technician III.
• Troubleshoot and repair laboratory equipment; log calibration/service.
• Navigate M3 to approve and release product or place items on hold.
