Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in North Carolina is seeking a metrology-focused technician to read mechanical prints, apply GD&T, and verify parts against specifications using CMMs and vision systems.

You will develop and write measurement programs (MCOSMOS, MiCAT, GEOPAK), generate clear reports, manage gage calibration with Gagetrak, and support quality engineering projects. Strong PC skills and familiarity with Minitab and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or 4+ years related experience
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Ability to read mechanical prints and measure per prints/specifications
• Knowledge of Quality System and corrective/preventive actions
• Knowledge of calibration systems with contractual requirements
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office/Minitab

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret GD&T and make objective decisions
• Develop measurement programs for CMMs and vision systems
• Generate clear, concise reports based on measurements
• Inspect and measure products using analytical equipment
• Maintain gage calibration system and coordinate with providers
• Assist team with new model development and quality projects
