Job summary

VEKA is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to uphold dimensional, color, and surface standards across extrusion products. You will guide accept/reject decisions, notify extrusion teams of substandard results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency.

You will collect data, monitor samples per VEKA standards, and perform AAMA testing, documenting results while ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality protocols.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Science or Engineering or an equivalent mix of education and quality experience (min 3 years).
  • Experience in quality inspection, dimensional checks, go/no-go gauge testing, color and surface assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all quality inspections and checks (3-Tier Dimensional, Length, Surface, Go Gauge Fit, Color, Bow, Impact Testing).
  • Guide acceptance and reject decisions; communicate substandard results to extrusion teams.
  • Collect data and monitor samples per VEKA Standards; develop tooling maintenance requests (TMR) as needed.
  • Perform AAMA 301/303 testing and document results.
  • Report to QAManager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Job description

  • Responsible for allqualityinspection andchecksincluding but not limited to 3-Tier Dimensional, Length, Surface, Go Gauge Fit, Color, Bow,andImpact Testing.
  • Responsible for guidingacceptand reject decisions.
  • Notifiesextrusionteamsof substandard productionresultsandworkswith cross-functional teams to improve the production process.
  • Responsible for collecting data and monitoring samples according to VEKA Standards.
  • Evaluatesextruded products toassistin developing Tooling Maintenance Requests (TMR).
  • Performsall AAMA 3O3 testing and document testing results.
  • All other duties as assigned
Skills:
  • Good written andoral communicationskills
  • Knowledge of usingmeasuring devices such asDatacolor,Ascona/PromexProfile Measurement, Comparator, Calipers, Loupe Magnifiers etc.preferred

Education& Experience
  • Associate Degreein Science or Engineering related field or a minimum of 3 years quality experience and/or science related experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Essential functions of this job are to perform a range of physical activities throughout the workday, including climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
  • An essential function of this job is to lift and or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 poundsfrequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
  • Must be available with predictable and regular attendance onsite to perform the essential functions above under key functions wheneveremployeeis scheduled to work.
  • The workeris required tofunction in narrow aisles or passageways.
