Job summary

VEKA in Morganton, NC seeks a Quality Inspector to lead quality inspections and decision-making for extruded products. You will guide acceptance criteria, notify production teams of issues, and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and data collection.

You will collect samples, monitor tests, and document results per VEKA standards. Responsibilities include performing AAMA testing and supporting tooling maintenance requests as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using measuring devices (Datacolor, Ascona/Promex, Calipers, loupe magnifiers).
• Ability to communicate issues across multiple teams.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel/MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all quality inspection and checks, including but not limited to 3-Tier Dimensional, Length, Surface, Go Gauge Fit, Color, Bow, and Impact Test.
• Guide accept and reject decisions.
• Notify extrusion teams of substandard production results and work with cross-functional teams to improve the production process.
• Collect data and monitor samples according to VEKA Standards.
• Evaluate extruded products to assist in developing Tooling Maintenance Requests (TMR).
• Perform all AAMA 303 testing and document testing results.
• All other duties as assigned.
