Job summary

Michael Foods Wakefield facility seeks a quality technician to ensure ingredients and packaging meet specifications. You will document findings, support safe, compliant production, and communicate issues to teams.

You must follow safety rules, contribute to Food Safety & Quality programs, and cooperate with cross-functional groups to maintain product integrity. Ability to lift 55 pounds and weekend/overtime availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read instructions, write simple correspondence, and communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Production to keep processing up to date as issues are found.
• Adheres to GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions, and reports safety concerns.
• Verifies PCs and CCPs are complete and signed off.
• Follows the shift’s checklist for the area.
• Performs weekly environmental swabs and air plates.
• Works with QA, micro, and chemistry labs to get product samples analyzed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
