Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in Mooresville, NC seeks a Quality Assurance Engineering Intern to support the Global Merchandising team under QA Lab operations.

You will assist in testing, results analysis, and documentation to ensure product quality before reaching customers. This 10-week summer internship (May 24 – July 30) provides hands-on projects across stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, with mentors guiding you through lab work, cross‑functional reviews, and standards compliance

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 or May 2028.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in product testing, materials science, or design validation.
• Ability to read and interpret test specifications and engineering documents.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, execution, and documentation of product performance and durability tests in Lowe’s QA Test Lab.
• Analyze results with engineers and technicians to identify defects or failure points.
• Support continuous improvement by reviewing lab processes, reporting tools, and quality protocols.
• Observe how QA collaborates with Merchandising, Sourcing, Compliance, and Product Development.
• Gain familiarity with national/industry standards for product testing (UL, ASTM, ANSI).
