Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to ensure quality and compliance during modernization of a critical government information system. The role focuses on functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps, UI validation, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility across a modernized platform.

You will develop test plans, validate Tomcat, Oracle 19c, SAP BI interfaces, and ensure federal cybersecurity and Section 508/WCAG

Qualifications

• Experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• UI testing expertise including user interface validation and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• API testing (Solr, RESTful services).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct user interface validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing methodologies for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure adherence to government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Apache Solr, RESTful services).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking systems and coordinate issue resolution.
• Test Tomcat deployments and configurations.
• Test Oracle 19c database integrations and data flows.
• Test SAP BI reporting interfaces and outputs.
