General Dynamics Electric Boat is offering a Quality Assurance – Engineering Summer Internship in Groton, CT. The 8-week program runs May 2027 through September 2027 and provides exposure to QA processes, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration within the Navy submarine program.

Interns will work with senior staff, develop skills in quality control, data analysis, and problem resolution, and may be placed at Groton CT or Kings Hwy locations. Medical screening and drug test are required.

Responsabilités

• Developing and monitoring quality metrics and systems to improve first-time quality at Electric Boat.
• Ensuring products and processes comply with requirements.
• Participate in problem resolution for quality issues including causal analysis and implementation of preventive actions.
• Becoming proficient in causal analysis tools (e.g. 5 Why Method, Ishikawa Diagrams, etc.).
• Work with various teams to achieve continuous improvement and prevent quality issues from recurring.
• Implement and maintain systems that ensure adherence to quality standards.
