Job summary

Moog in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Space and Defense team onsite. You will apply quality processes, review documents, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure compliance and product excellence.

You will utilize statistical tools (SPC, Gage R&R, fault tree analysis) and drive continuous improvement, reporting to the Value Stream Manager while supporting regulatory requirements across programs. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field; or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a team-based manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-handling tools.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality tools (SPC, Gage R&R, 5 Why, Fault Trees).

Responsibilities

• Work with and maintain confidential information in a manufacturing setting.
• Review contracts, regulatory documents, and other flow-downs for compliance and quality.
• Apply Six Sigma and other quality tools to improve processes and products.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support customers.
