Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations in a manufacturing environment in Portage, MI. This contract role focuses on root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams to maintain day-to-day quality and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree, have hands-on experience in QA or manufacturing quality, and be comfortable working 100% onsite

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or closely related technical degree.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Manufacturing Quality, Production Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in medical device or relevant regulated/manufacturing industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting production, manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to commit to a 12-month contract.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Portage, MI
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite, Monday–Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality background, hands-on experience supporting production, and the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams while contributing to day-to-day operations and continuous improvement.
