Job summary

Pb Consulting is seeking a QA Tester to join our team in New Jersey. The role focuses on reviewing requirements, creating test artifacts, and executing comprehensive testing across functional, integration, and UAT stages.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of software testing experience, familiarity with Agile/SAFe, and hands-on use of Azure DevOps and Postman for API testing and defect tracking. Join a collaborative Agile environment and help ensure high-quality software releases.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, and SAFe methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, Backlogs, and Dashboards.
• Experience writing and executing detailed test cases/scripts from business requirements.
• Basic knowledge of API testing and Postman.
• Experience with defect identification, documentation, tracking, and retesting.
• Understanding of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Review business and functional requirements to ensure they are clear and testable.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate system functionality, business processes, usability, and data accuracy.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Use Azure DevOps Test Plans for test case management, execution, and defect tracking.
• Support backlog, work item, bug, incident, and issue management in Azure DevOps.
• Perform basic API testing using Postman.
• Support test environment readiness, test data preparation, deployment validation, and production testing.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and delivered functionality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.
• Communicate testing status, defects, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
• Support UAT coordination, defect triage, and post-release validation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.
