Job summary

AWeber is hiring a QA Engineer II for a remote-first team across designated US states. You will own test strategy, automate coverage, and build agents to sustain quality and reliability of the marketing software platform.

You will conduct exploratory testing, maintain CI pipelines, and help ensure that releases are ready with strong evidence and signed-off test plans. Strong communication and independent work are essential in this deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA or test automation in an Agile environment.
• API testing with Python, using pytest, unittest, or a comparable framework.
• UI testing with Cypress and TypeScript, with stable selectors and page objects.
• Demonstrated use of AI development tools to produce or maintain tests.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
• Exploratory testing to find defects without a script.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments, Git, and API tooling like Postman/curl.
• Working experience with AWS services in testing contexts.
• Strong written communication for test plans and sign-offs.
• Ability to work self-directed in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy and automated coverage for features end-to-end.
• Build and improve agents that generate coverage and diagnose failures.
• Write and maintain reliable test harnesses and harnesses for CI pipelines.
• Conduct exploratory testing and document findings for the team.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure release readiness and quality.
