Job summary

Amazon Retail LLC in Seattle, WA seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer II to lead testing of large-scale systems, develop test plans and automated tests in Java and Shell in Linux environments, and coordinate deployment of tests.

You will design mobile-device test frameworks, build automated test cases, and work with engineers and product teams throughout the lifecycle, delivering regular status reports and ensuring quality from requirements through release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
• Must have one year of experience in developing tests for large-scale software systems using Java or Shell Scripts in a Windows, UNIX, or Linux environment; and documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the testing of large-scale systems, create test plans, test cases, and drive continuous improvements to QA processes.
• Develop tests using Java and Shell Scripts in a Linux environment, document and coordinate deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems.
• Design and build automated test cases for mobile device GUIs using test automation frameworks such as VNC Robot and Java.
• Collaborate with engineers, business owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
