Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the United States (Dallas, Herndon, Seattle, or related) is seeking a seasoned QA engineer to lead testing efforts for large-scale projects.

You will design test plans, write test cases, run manual and automated tests, and drive defect resolution with developers. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA, automation experience (Selenium or Appium), and a track record as a QA lead on medium to large projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Experience in automation testing.
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements.
• Test Case Development: Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases.
• Test Execution: Execute test cases (manual and automated) and ensure software quality across SDLC stages.
• Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects and work with development to resolve them.
• Automation Development: Write and maintain automated test scripts to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards.
• Performance and Load Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to handle expected load.
• Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain test environments reflecting production.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assess release risks and mitigate impact.
