Job summary

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, seeks a QA Engineer II in Albuquerque, NM to develop and monitor QA processes within an ISO 9001:2015 quality system. You will perform internal audits, supplier audits, and lead root cause analyses on nonconformances, while supporting ESD controls and data-driven quality improvements.

You will collaborate with engineering teams on quality for new product development, ensuring documentation and actions meet rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 years of related QA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or QA Engineering.
• Ability to write and interpret technical documents.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
• Proficiency in ERP software (Visibility) and MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills, including mentoring/training/presentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in implementing and monitoring processes for an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system.
• May be asked to be the Subject Matter Expert for certain quality processes.

• Coordinate completion of corrective and preventive actions.

• Perform failure analysis and reporting for RFID products.

Job Summary:

Responsible for creating, evaluating, and executing quality assurance processes, procedures and statistical techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in implementing and monitoring processes for an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system
• May be asked to be the Subject Matter Expert for certain quality processes
• Perform internal auditing of quality system processes

Requirements and Qualifications

• Typically requires 6 years related experience
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering field of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance Engineering
• Ability to write and interpret technical documents
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assemblies
• Proficiency in ERP software (i.e., visibility) and MS Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize work, be proactive, work independently and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, including mentoring/training/presentation
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
• Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: American Society of Quality - Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, or Auditor; IPC Solder Standards: IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721; ANSI/ESD S.20.20 Electro-Static Control Program
