Job summary

Availity is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our remote, US-based team. You will develop test plans, automate tests, and validate product quality across our healthcare tech platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers, product managers, and analysts to ensure market-ready releases. You will contribute to test automation and regression strategies, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and leverage tools like JIRA, Postman, and Selenium.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality assurance and testing experience (internships, co-ops, or project work considered).
• Exposure to writing test automation for front-end and/or back-end applications with a desire to grow automation skills.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, C# (or similar languages used for test automation).
• Familiarity with IDEs (VS Code, Eclipse) and basic source control workflows (pull requests).
• Familiarity with test management and automated testing tools for regression, cross-browser, and functional testing.
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure) and CI pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, scenarios, and cases based on business, user, and functional requirements.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and refinement meetings.
• Utilize JIRA for project planning and tracking.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Engineers on automation initiatives.
• Conduct automated tests using user-level automation tools and behavior-driven tests.
• Validate and document testing completion to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Share knowledge with team and seek continuous improvement.
