Job summary

AGent Energy is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to own testing across our technology stack — from cloud backend and IoT device communication to embedded firmware and customer-facing applications. This hands-on QA role ensures reliability in critical energy infrastructure, with collaboration across Cloud Backend, Application, and Embedded teams to raise the quality bar.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA engineering experience with end-to-end test ownership.
• Hands-on experience testing cloud-based systems; AWS experience preferred.
• Familiarity with IoT systems, device protocols, and firmware testing.
• Experience building automated test frameworks and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience with Claude AI or willingness to integrate AI into QA workflows.
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication and clear documentation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across cloud, embedded, and application engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain test strategies covering cloud backend, IoT device communication, embedded firmware, and customer-facing apps.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites across platform components.
• Own test planning for new features and releases with engineering leads to build quality in from the start.
• Maintain documentation of test coverage, results, and known issues across the platform.
