POSITION:

The Manual QA Engineer position will report directly to the QA Manager on the Quality Assurance Team.The Manual QA Engineer will work on a development team to advocate quality in the software development lifecycle; create detailed test plans and procedures based on business requirements and product specifications; execute scenarios and test scripts to test functionality of the company's web based and desktop software products; perform ad hoc and manually scripted testing. This position requires a self-motivated, dedicated, focused, detailed and methodical individual to combine the hands-on process knowledge of the QA function within the project lifecycle methodology; solid technical knowledge of software development environments and tools. Has a passion for testing, commitment to quality, lifelong learning, and contributes to overall team and company success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Test application upgrades/patches/customizations as specified by requirements
• Follow Agile principals which includes executing test plans for stories within the current Sprint iteration.
• Ensure the application is ready on the predetermined release schedule.
• Prepare, maintain, and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
• Demo tested features to showcase to stakeholders what work has been done and how it will be used
• Manage personal priorities and work with minimal supervision and direction
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts assure the smooth and on time delivery of releases
• Work with other technically skilled staff on a multi-disciplinary team

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with use of Hospitality Suite and/or Computrition Applications strongly recommended
• Strong attention to detail
• Critical thinker that can develop creative test approaches to ensure all end user workflows are covered
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC and system navigation skills
• Experience working in Food Service Management or Clinical Food Service a plus

• Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Forward/innovative thinking
• Ability to work on more than one project at a time. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within time constraints
