Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

We are looking for a meticulous and mission-driven Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to test and validate complex, user-facing web applications that serve individuals with visual, cognitive, and print disabilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our applications are fully accessible, usable, and compliant with federal accessibility standards.

You will work closely with developers, designers, and product owners to test software functionality and ensure that all users — regardless of ability — have equal access to our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites
  • Validate conformance with WCAG 2.2 A/AA, Section 508, and ADA compliance
  • Use tools like axe, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack to identify and document accessibility issues
  • Log, track, and verify defects in collaboration with the engineering team using tools such as JIRA
  • Work with UX/UI and development teams to ensure accessibility fixes are correctly implemented
  • Support the creation of test reports and documentation for audits and deliverables
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in web application quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of accessibility principles, ARIA, semantic HTML, and assistive technology behavior
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and screen readers
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in government technology projects
  • CPACC, WAS, or ISTQB certification
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with digital content distribution systems
