Job summary

Vast.ai, a fast‑growing AI startup in Los Angeles, seeks a QA Engineer to drive manual and automated testing across web apps and backend services in a Linux‑first environment. You will define quality standards, catch issues early, and help deliver reliable releases.

This onsite role is based in our Westwood office, where you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure release readiness. Experience with test automation and API testing is a plus; compensation includes hourly

About the Role

We’re hiring a QA Engineer to drive both manual and automated testing across our web applications and backend services in a Linux-first environment. This role is central to shipping reliable, high-performance software for a complex, always‑on platform. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to define quality standards, catch issues early, and help deliver confident releases.

This role is onsite 5 days a week in our Los Angeles (Westwood) office.

What You’ll Do

• Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing for web apps and backend services

• Maintain and expand test plans for existing and upcoming features

• Design high‑signal test cases and build/extend automation where it matters most

• Validate requirements and ensure releases are stable and defect‑free

Minimum Qualifications
