Job summary

CashClever in New York is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance professional to join our fast-paced fintech team. You will test customer-facing web and mobile apps across the full user journey, validate end-to-end workflows, and help ensure a consistently high-quality user experience.

You will design and execute test plans, perform REST API testing with Postman, write SQL checks, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Experience testing web-based applications and customer-facing digital products.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test customer-facing web and mobile applications across the complete user journey

• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases based on requirements
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, and UAT testing

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience Testing

• Test customer-facing web and mobile applications across the complete user journey
• Ensure a consistent customer experience across supported browsers, devices, and operating systems

Validate end-to-end workflows including:

• Account registration and onboarding
• Login and authentication
• Identity verification (KYC)
• Password reset and account recovery
• Customer profile management
• Account funding
• Payments and transfers
• Predictive loan application workflows
• Customer dashboards
• Notifications (email, SMS, and push)
• Self-service account features

Functional & Technical Testing

• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing
• Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools
• Execute SQL queries to verify backend data integrity and business transactions
• Test integrations with third-party services, including payment processors, identity verification providers, and notification platforms
• Verify error handling, edge cases, and recovery scenarios

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira or similar tools
• Reproduce reported issues and collaborate with Software Engineers to resolve defects
• Perform regression testing following bug fixes and product releases
• Participate in defect triage and release readiness discussions

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers throughout the Agile development lifecycle
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they are testable and complete
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Provide clear feedback on product quality, usability, and customer impact

Quality Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and product quality
• Contribute to API and regression test automation where appropriate
• Assist in maintaining reusable test cases and test data
• Support production validation and post-release verification activities
• Help promote a culture of quality across the engineering organization

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience validating customer analytics events and tracking implementations
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and modern software delivery practices
