Job summary

Jobot is seeking a QA Engineer in Marlborough, MA to join a defense hardware team on-site. You will develop and implement the quality plan, manage CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions, and ensure product quality aligns with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.

You will review EE and mechanical drawings to identify quality risks. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering, 2–10+ years in Quality Engineering in aerospace, and proven experience with CAPA, data analysis of inspections, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 2–10+ years in Quality Engineering, preferably in aerospace.
  • Experience with CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to collect/analyze data from inspections and identify root causes.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools (fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D).
  • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 standards.
  • Experience inspecting to J-STD-001/IPC-61 standards (preferred).
  • Ability to interpret EE and Mechanical drawings/schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement the quality plan, including CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  2. Collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections, identifying and addressing root causes of product problems.
  3. Use problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D’s, or other methods to get to the root cause of quality issues.
  4. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100.
  5. Review inspections according to J-STD-001 and/or IPC 61 standards.
  6. Review and interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics to identify potential quality issues.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the engineering process.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization to enhance quality and efficiency.
  9. Provide training and support to team members on quality-related matters.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  2. 2-10+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in the Aerospace Industry.
  3. Proven experience with CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  4. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections, and to identify and address root causes of product problems.
  5. Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D’s, or other methods.
  6. Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
  7. Experience performing inspections to J-STD-001 and/or IPC 61 standards (preferred).
  8. Ability to interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
