Job summary

Talentify in Fremont, CA is seeking a QA Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement onsite. You will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests for mobile and web applications, and support data validation.

You will work independently on project tracks, create test plans, and log defects in JIRA. Proficiency with Python/Selenium, SQL, and end-to-end automation is required, along with experience using Zephyr or TestLink for test management.

JOB TITLE: QA Engineer - Hiring Event 7/27
LOCATION: Onsite in Fremont, CA
DURATION: 6 month contract to hire
RATE RANGE: $60-65/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Develop and execute exploratory tests, as well as automated tests, to ensure product quality.
• Work independently on project tracks assigned to the resources.
• Develop test plans and test cases, while also preparing test data.
• Test Mobile apps. Execute functional system and Integration testing, regression testing of service Applications.
• Develop Automated Test suits for Applications.
• Verify the quality of data, ensure data coming in matches existing data, and verify functionality and data output against requirements.
• Log, manage, and retest defects in bug tracking system.
• Report testing status, milestones, and issues to project stakeholders.
• Identify inconsistencies and flaws. Support off-hours launch and monitoring of systems with IT teams.
• Update and use Confluence page extensively for open knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

• Agile Methodology.
• Web applications and client-server technology; - Automating test scripts using
  Python/Selenium Web driver.
• Data conversion testing; - Using SQL/MYSQL validating backend data, SQL for querying and extracting data from databases.
• Interface Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, or Functional Testing; -
  Automated test scenarios to cover all possible tests.
• Black-box Testing or White-box testing.
• Bug Tracking tools including JIRA.
• Test Management tools including Zephyr, or Test Link.
• Automated end-to-end testing using open-source test tool (for example:
  Selenium, Coded Ul, or Python).
• Setting up and maintaining QA Environment and Test Data Management.
• Programming in: Java, Visual Basic, C, C#, C++, or XML.
